Stopping By The Words

Thanks to the great Google guys Larry Page and Sergey Brin for bringing about a revolution in the Internet with their search engine and the subsequent services. The Google Story, an interesting book about their brains and business would be discussed later. Thanks again to them for giving a platform for millions of users to share their thoughts, ideas, joy, sorrow, recipes, photos etc....etc. through the blogs.

A word of thanks, my daughter also deserves for giving a shape to my idea of blogging. This blog is an outcome of my passion for writing ,through which some of my joy and interest can be shared. The recollections of wonderful experiences and exciting travels can be recorded for me and a few of my acquaintance. The blog address and title, the choice of which,I never even dreamt would be so difficult. Many amazing and meaningful titles, born out of my long musings, were not accepted, only
popping up,"sorry, not available'.The blog address and title,I wanted to be one and the same, hence so tedious.

The phrase "JUST FOR A MINUTE" my own product, sounded catchy and apt,as I wanted my post not to take more than a minute or two, for a glance but that address also, unavailable.STOPPING BY THE WORDS,flashed into my mind after a couple of days. This is due to the influence of one of my favourite poems,STOPPING BY WOODS ON A SNOWY EVENING by the popular American poet,Robert Frost. The last stanza of the poem,

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

has been immortalised by the lovers of poetry. It is said that these philosophical lines captivated even our first Prime Minister,Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru very much ,that he made a note of them and placed it on his table.

Leta vandalum, letesta varuven. Such is my delight about my title, being ,attractive and innovative and also my stepping into the domain of blogging.

Thanks for stopping by my words, just for a minute.
